Mary Jane’s CBD Rainbow Warrior Juice

Mary Jane’s CBD Rainbow Warrior Juice

Juicing has been a family staple since 2013 when I began to study the topic and incorporate it into my lifestyle. It has been a wonderful journey and now I have been blessed to share that joy with my child. My daughter Mary Jane came up with a new recipe yesterday that both had us going, “MmmmmMmMmmm!!!!”

You might be asking yourself why you should even bother juicing when the store has tons of juice? Welll simple, fresh pressed juice has a plethora of concentrated enzymes that are active or “alive”, phytochemicals, soluable fiber (it leaves behind the insoluble fiber), immune boosting minerals and vitamins, it is alkaline in nature, and can help you meet your daily quota of fresh fruits and veggies. When you pasturize juice it kills the enzymes and degrades or cancels out the other health boosting profiles. See all that foam on top of the juice? Alive with oxygen and soulable fiber.

And you might be thinking, well, that is too expensive?! The short answer is no. You can get a simple juicer as cheap as $34 and buy cheaper produce such as celery, bargain apples, and other bargin fruits in the fruit clearence section of your grocery store. People want to believe eating healthy is not cheap. But when it comes down to it, the average bunch of celery goes for $1.99 and you can get a bag of dicounted apples for $1. Might sound simple, but juicing those two every day far exceeds the benefits of “dead juice” or buying junk or fast food.

You can make the adult version by adding Gemstone CBD salt. Sapphire CBD Salt is a flexible source of hemp-derived CBD that is easy to incorporate into your daily routine. Made with just two ingredients, Himalayan Pink Salt and US grown hemp-derived CBD, Sapphire CBD Salt can be used in place of traditional salt. Sprinkle some Sapphire on your favorite dish and savor the moment. But salt, in juice, really?! Just a pinch really compliments the celery and sweet fruits in this drink. While adding important trace minerals to your drink. Salt also is important for your delicate electrolyte balance. Enjoy!

Mise en place:

  • 6 Pink Lady Apples with skin on
  • 1 pound of celery
  • 4 navel oranges leaving the pith
  • 5 limes leaving the pith
  • 1 pinch Gemstone Sapphire CBD Salt

Dirctions:

  • Cut up the apples leaving the skin on. Now peel the limes and oranges leaving on the pith. Cut off the butt of the celery and pull apart.
  • Juice the apples, followed by the limes, celery, and oranges.
  • Pour into glasses and serve. If you want a CBD adult version, add a pinch of CBD salt and stir.

Note:

Lastly, CBD can interact with some medications. Generally the rule of thumb is, if your medication interacts with grapefruit, don’t take CBD. Always check with your doctor before consuming CBD.

A study came out recently that suggests CBD may lower immune function in those with immune diseases. However, there is not enough data with more studies to have a solid answer on this. The study itself still had too many variables that were not addressed such as dosage, full spectrum/broad spectrum/isolate benefits or disadvantages, ect. And as herbalists and doctors can both say, the dosage makes the poison.” All things are poison, and nothing is without poison, the dosage alone makes it so a thing is not a poison.” Therefore, ask your doctor and use to lowest dosage possible that your body benefits and gets results from. Less, is better.

Here is a list of some known interactions, though it is not a complete list, so ask your doctor!

  • Antiarrythmics
  • Adderal
  • Antibiotics
  • Steroids
  • Calcium channel blockers
  • Benzodiazepines such as Xanax
  • Anesthetics
  • Antihistamines
  • HIV antivirals
  • Antipsychotics
  • Antidepressants
  • Anti-epileptics
  • Beta blockers
  • NSAIDS
