Carnivore Bacon Sea Salt

Jump to Recipe

Sea salt enhances the flavor and texture of food compared to the traditional iodized table salt found on many American tables. Various types and colors of sea salt exist, each with unique flavors and hues determined by the trace minerals they contain. Salt serves as a crucial electrolyte in the body. Sodium, a key electrolyte, regulates body fluids, blood pressure, and the functions of muscles and nerves, and it aids in balancing other electrolytes.

Contrary to refined salts, sea salt typically undergoes minimal processing, allowing it to preserve its natural moisture and mineral richness. Sea salt is created through the evaporation of seawater. It is typically darker than refined salt because it absorbs minerals from the clay lining of the water source. In contrast, the production of refined table salt usually involves extensive processing, including mining, iodizing, bleaching, and adding anti-caking agents. This processing can remove many of the salt’s beneficial minerals and trace elements, natural color, leaving primarily sodium and chloride. Sea salt is derived from seawater and contains 82 essential trace nutrients. These minerals are in a form readily assimilable by the human body. Additionally, the climate and geographical location of the area significantly influence the quality and mix of minerals found in sea salt.

I decided to add bacon and decarboxylated kief as a simple way to get more bacon and cannabis into your diet. This tasty seasoning is used to add just a little touch of endocannabinoids to your meals. You can experiment with different sea salts and kief pairings to find the perfect flavor balances. Quite the fun game! This simple recipe is sure to impress anyone when they come into your home or you can give it out as a gift! Don’t need the cannabis? Then don’t fret, the recipe is just as delicious without a little bit of plant magick.

FAQs

Can I make this without weed?
Of course! These recipes taste amazing both infused and not!

Why Cannabis?
When our body is homeostasis, it has no need for cannabis as it is happy. But if negative environmental, lifestyle, genetics, stress, diet and nutrition, alcohol consumption, or health factors are present, the system can become unbalanced, and we now have an endocannabinoid deficiency. This results in things like migraines, fibromyalgia, mood disorders, behavior problems, anxiety, depression, bowl issues, and metabolic issues like not being able to lose weight.

Using cannabis as medicine can restore this balance in the body when combined with a proper carnivore diet. With the goal being, to eventually transition off the cannabis. Think of cannabis as a little dirty carnivore helper, that is going to be the last plant you see before you are 100% successful and in homeostasis. And also think of it as a tool to put in your back pocket in case the unfortunate event of environmental disease or infection (cold or infection) in the future causes your body to fall out of homeostasis again. Life happens. Just remember, cannabis is medicine so use it wisely.

Do I have to let the bacon cool?
Yes! Let the bacon strips cool in the pan completely before blending in the Vitamix.

How to store Carnivore Bacon Sea Salt?
It is recommended to store the bacon salt in a sealed glass container in the refrigerator such as a mason jar with a tight lid.

How Long Does It Last?
Carnivore Bacon Salt will last one month sealed in an airtight jar. Anything after a month, and the flavor and texture will begin to degrade rapidly.

How Can I Store Carnivore Bacon Sea Salt Long Term?
Freezing, dehydrating, or freeze drying can be used to store this bacon salt long term. I would recommend vacuum sealing this before putting it in the freezer. You can also dehydrate it or freeze dry it for longer storage periods of time.
