Carnivore Pie Crust

Love pies but on the carnivore diet? Then, this carnivore pork rind pie crust is for you! Graham cracker like crust, that is sweet and wholesome – it is the perfect crust for any pie! Pre-made pie crusts in the store are full of sugars, fillers, hydrogenated oils, preservatives, stabilizers, and many chemicals like propylene glycol. Some popular brands contain more than seven ingredients much of which is impossible to pronounce. And they are loaded with BHT to boot! Can we say “yuck”?

Forget the store-bought nonsense, get your Vitamix ready and make the real deal without all the food drama! It will save you money in the long run as well as your health from running into problems consuming weird ingredients from store bought manufacturers. Plus, this crust should take you no longer than 8 minutes from start to finish with the help of a high-powered blender. Move over carb and chemical laden pie crusts and say “hello” to nutrient dense carnivore pie crust.

If you do not have access to these strains, then use your nose and taste buds to find other cultivar’s that have similar smell and flavor profiles.

Notes

  • Cannabis is technically not Carnivore; however, I see plants as medicine as long as they are extracted correctly and used only when needed.

FAQs

Can I make this without weed?
Of course! These recipes taste amazing both infused and not!

Why cannabis?
When our body is homeostasis, it has no need for cannabis as it is happy. But if negative environmental, lifestyle, genetics, stress, diet and nutrition, alcohol consumption, or health factors are present, the system can become unbalanced, and we now have an endocannabinoid deficiency. This results in things like migraines, fibromyalgia, mood disorders, behavior problems, anxiety, depression, bowl issues, and metabolic issues like not being able to lose weight.

Using cannabis as medicine can restore this balance in the body when combined with a proper carnivore diet. With the goal being, to eventually transition off the cannabis. Think of cannabis as a little dirty carnivore helper, that is going to be the last plant you see before you are 100% successful and in homeostasis. And also think of it as a tool to put in your back pocket in case the unfortunate event of environmental disease or infection (cold or infection) in the future causes your body to fall out of homeostasis again. Life happens. Just remember, cannabis is medicine so use it wisely.

Do I have to add the optional ingredients to the carnivore pie crust?
No! However, for the best sweetness and texture to resemble traditional graham cracker pie crust, I would recommend adding at least the vanilla and brown sugar swerve.

How to store carnivore pie crust?
It is recommended to store the Carnivore Pie Crust either in the refrigerator or in the freezer for future use.

Can I bake with this pie crust?
You can absolutely bake a cheesecake with this crust, but this recipe is best for a no-bake cheesecake. If baking with this crust, you need to increase the pork rinds to 8 cups. Then be sure to use a water bath on a tray and wrap the spring form pan with tin foil. That way any leaking butter will not spill out into your oven.
