The 12 Days of Kushmas: 2 Chocolate Treats
On the second day of Kushmas, my true love gave to me: two chocolate treats — infused with cannabis, of course.
One of the best ways to warm up during the winter months is with some decadent chocolate indulgence. Yesterday, we brought you pot in a pear glass rig for the first day Kushmas, but today we get a little sweeter and bring you two cannabis edibles recipes. Both recipes utilize the beautiful indica-dominant strain, Chocolate Kush, which hails from the OG Kush lineage and contains sweet hints of both chocolate and vanilla.
If you don’t have Chocolate Kush, you can also use strains that have a similar terpene profile, such as Chocolate Thai, Chocolate OG, Chocolope and Chocolate Chunk. Be creative and have fun with it!
However, bare in mind that these two recipes are for desserts that should be treated with respect. If you are fighting with obesity, cancer, immune deficiency disorders or diabetes, these desserts should only be used in a controlled manner or avoided all together. Desserts are indulgent treats that should be enjoyed moderately and in conjunction with a healthy diet, with other healthy edibles.
Chocolate Kush Vegan Ganache
Ganache is a delicious chocolate concoction that can be used as a filling, sauce, glaze or icing in various desserts — and the rich flavors of Chocolate Kush only make this vegan ganache recipe even more luxurious. As this medicine begins to take hold, you will be lulled into a warm, creative, peaceful, yet ultra-relaxed mood. This is a great vessel to treat nausea, insomnia, anxiety and lack of appetite.
Pour this luscious ganache over cakes, marzipan or fudge. Dip fruit, French bread or croissants into this ganache to satisfy any sweet tooth. Really, the options for using this ganache are limitless. Use your creativity and imagination, and the sky will be the limit. And it is vegan to boot? Perfect!
Mise en place:
15 ounces vegan chocolate
14 ounces infused Chocolate Kush coconut milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon almond extract
Step 1: Chop up the chocolate with a French knife and set aside in a glass bowl. On the stove top, add the coconut milk into a saucepan over medium high heat and cook until the milk starts to steam and bubble.
Step 2: Now carefully pour the hot coconut milk over the chocolate and let it stand for 5 minutes.
Step 3: After the time is up, stir this mixture with a wooden spoon until it becomes smooth. Add the vanilla extract and almond extract while constantly stirring until fully incorporated. You now have Chocolate Kush Ganache in which you can use in a multitude of desserts.
Chocolate Kush Hot Cocoa Marshmallow Cookies

Almost nothing beats curling up by the fireside during the holidays with your fingers wrapped around a hot mug of cocoa, but we think we know something that might top hot cocoa: wrapping your fingers around an ooey-gooey hot chocolate marshmallow cookie fresh out of the oven. The hashy chocolate flavor of this Kush strain amps up the flavor of the cookie dough, while its indica-dominant hybrid effects will melt away any holiday stress or depression providing mental relief. Rewind with this cookie after a long day of Christmas party festivities or hand it out as a night cap to your guests.
Mise en Place:
1 3/4 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup gourmet hot cocoa mix
1 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 cup Chocolate Kush cannabutter
1/4 cup organic milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup mini marshmallows or white chocolate chips or both
Step 1: Cream the sugar and Chocolate Kush cannabutter in a bowl. Then add the vanilla, eggs and milk to the mix. Mix until fully incorporated.
Step 2: Sift in the flour, sugar, hot cocoa mix and baking soda. Stir the ingredients and then add the mini marshmallows andwhite chocolate chips.
Step 3: Continue to mix until it is fully combined. Heat the oven to 350 degrees Farenheit while you are mixing your cookie dough. Divide dough evenly onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake the cookies for nine to 11 minutes.
Chocolate Kush’s THC content tests around 19 percent. If one gram tests at 19 percent THC, 19 percent of 1,000 mg would be 190 mg. Substitute the number of your THC percentage and do the math to figure out your desired dosage per tablespoon for your method of making cannabutter and cannabis-infused coconut milk. If you want a smaller dose in this recipe, cut the cannabis down to a smaller portion. If you want a larger dose, add the amount you desire.
